Conservation Experiences in the Osa Peninsula

Explore turtle conservation, biodiversity, educational workshops, and immersive scientific tourism at La Cotinga Biological Station.

The Turtle Conservation Program

Born from La Cotinga Biological Station’s mission, our turtle program invites travelers to become temporary researchers — patrolling beaches, relocating vulnerable nests, and releasing hatchlings under expert guidance.
Every visitor contributes to ongoing data collection that helps protect endangered species along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
